Holiday Party Outfit - Pink and Silver

This dress is a show stopper! V-back dresses were really popular especially in the 1950s and it's difficult to find party dresses with long sleeves. If you've got a great back and want to show it off, this is the dress for you. And I especially love the combination of pink and silver. It's quite dazzling.

Holiday Party Outfit - Red, Gold and Purple

I love dressing up for holiday parties! I like to go with a dress in a solid color and add some vibrancy with bright accessories. Sheath dresses are very in style with the 1950s and 1960s. They are figure hugging and glamorous!

If the purple shoe is too much for you, then go with a basic black pump.

Update: The dress above looks a lot like the one Natalie Wood wears in this picture:

Jumpsuits

Jumpsuits are not as popular now as they were in the Twentieth Century. These were elegant staples in the 1930s and the 1960s and 1970s. I was recently watching the film Tony Rome (1967) and in it actress Gena Rowland wears this amazing cream colored jumpsuit with a fluffy fringe at the bottom of the pant legs. It's stunning. Here are some jumpsuits available now. It's hard to find a reasonably priced fashionable jumpsuit these days. Pickings are slim.
