Jumpsuits

Jumpsuits are not as popular now as they were in the Twentieth Century. These were elegant staples in the 1930s and the 1960s and 1970s. I was recently watching the film Tony Rome (1967) and in it actress Gena Rowland wears this amazing cream colored jumpsuit with a fluffy fringe at the bottom of the pant legs. It's stunning. Here are some jumpsuits available now. It's hard to find a reasonably priced fashionable jumpsuit these days. Pickings are slim.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Today is my birthday! If I could buy anything that I have featured on Vintage Brand New it would be this.

$330.00 Retail Price

This coat would be perfect for celebrating New Years in luxurious style.

I stopped by my local Lord and Taylor and tried it on. The medium fit me like a dream! I bought it (online because I forgot to bring my L&T printed coupon). It was 50% off and they have a THANKS coupon code for an extra 20% off PLUS anything over $99 had free shipping. So I ended up only paying $132 instead of $330 which was a bargain.

I can't wait to get this coat in the mail!

Cashmere Sweaters

Cashmere is expensive so invest wisely. It's a classic look that will go with your mid-Twentieth Century style outfit. Here are a few options.

Men's Evening Robe

$398.00

This robe looks exactly like one George Sanders wears in The Saint in London (1939) (DVD set of The Saint movies). I wish I had a picture to show. It's a pricey robe, definitely an investment piece. It'll last for years!

Steal the Look: Jean Arthur

I got inspired by Jean Arthur's delightful outfit from the 1943 film The More the Merrier!

This outfit is much more appropriate for Spring and Summer. Buy the items now (the prices are good!) and save them for next year!

In the early 1960s, pearl drop and rounded stud earrings were very popular. Check out these inexpensive earrings from Forever 21 that will add a little something extra to your Mad Men inspired outfit. Also, it's very difficult to find decorative pins and brooches so I included a new option from Forever 21 as well!
